Condition Monitoring for Statkraft – Enabling efficient maintenance (phase I)
Client
Statkraft is Europe’s largest generator of renewable energy. The Group produces hydropower, wind power, solar power, gas-fired power and supplies district heating. Statkraft is a global company in energy market operations with 3600 employees in 16 countries.

Challenge
The early detection system could only send alarms directly to the Dispatch Centers, without the possibility to instead direct attention and notifications right to the maintenance teams. This reduced the flexibility in handling risk for overload of information for the operators at the Dispatch Centers, and to effectively coordinate maintenance actions. The visualization tools for the Dispatch Centers had low flexibility. The user experience was not optimal, the maintenance team could only visualize data for a period of 3 years and do trending of one signal at the time.
